girly day

Happy Friday!

No Foodie Friday this week because, quite frankly, we’ve been too on-the-go to sit down to anything that took much effort.  The good news is, Oldest had an awesome basketball game last night and we had a blast watching him have a blast playing!  (It is okay for me to do the Proud Mom brag a little on my blog, isn’t it?!) Hopefully next week will allow more creativity and effort in the kitchen.  I do love to cook and I miss it when we get deep into seasons of busyness.

Tonight you can find Husband and I playing Scooter Hockey for charity.  Remember those little scooters from gym class in elementary school?  It’s been a looong time since I’ve wielded one of those bad boys!  This might prove amusing.  Pretty sure I should stick to my kitchen game.

As much fun as all this gymnasium activity is, I’ve found myself craving a good solid day of girly activity lately. A little escape from my normal boy-life, if you will.  (Actually, I think it’s probably a bit of the winter doldrums that has me on this train of thought.)

DSC_0006I’d start my girly day with a hatha yoga class that I’ve been wanting to try.  Then I’d move on to a manicure and a stop at the organic grocery nearby for a freshly squeezed juice.  I’d come home to spend some time getting my closet in order.

I’ve been pinning a lot of closet organization ideas lately and I’m almost ready to put my pins to practical work in my own space!  ; ) Curious to see what I’ve found?  Check my pinterest organization board out here.

After I had brought happy organized bliss to my closet, I’d celebrate my hard work with a movie night fit for a female.

8393556369_f5e75a9bf3_oI’ve been wanting to see this movie for quite a long time now.  It’s popped up again in conversation on a few occasions over the past couple of weeks.  I really have to make a plan to watch a chic flick like this, or else it just doesn’t get done.  The kids have to be in bed, Husband otherwise occupied (let’s face it, he has no desire to sit down with me to watch a French love story about fashion!), popcorn popped, and ideally, the house should be picked up so that I can relax and immerse myself in the film.  I bet you didn’t know that I graduated college with an emphasis in French.  I’m craving something of a cultural experience in the comfort of my own home.

Maybe one day next week?  For now, I’m off to get our busy day started.

À bientôt mes amis!
